April 2nd, Cumann na mBan formed in Wynn’s Hotel. Leaders – Jennie Wyse Power, Margaret Dobbs, Agnes O’ Farrelly, Mary Colum, Louise Gavan Duffy. Hannah Sheehy Skeffington attacked the new organisation as an “animated collection box” for the Volunteers.
