1910

General Election for the whole of the United Kingdom took place between 3rd and 19th December.

John Redmond’s Irish Parliamentary Party won 74 of the Irish seats, William O’Brien’s All for Ireland League won eight, all in County Cork.

This was the last UK election held over several days.

Pat O’Brien,[IPP] Michael Meagher,[Nat] Matthew Keating [Nat] were the Kilkenny MPs elected.

O’Brien for Kilkenny City, Meagher for North Kilkenny and Keating for South Kilkenny, where he was opposed by an independent candidate. Keating got 2265 votes to his opponent’s 287.
